Using the Application implies full and unreserved acceptance of these Terms of Use. This acceptance is given when you create your user account.
If you do not accept all or part of these Terms, you must stop using the Application and uninstall it.
These Terms can be consulted at any time from the Application settings and are hosted on a durable medium.
Access conditions and minimum age
Use of the Application is strictly reserved for people aged 16 or over. By creating an account, you declare that you are at least 16 years old.
The Application is not intended for anyone under 16, and the publisher does not knowingly collect personal data from them. Any account identified as belonging to a person under 16 will be suspended immediately and the associated data deleted.
Use by a minor aged 16 to 18 requires the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian.
User account
Creating your account
Access to the Application requires an account. When signing up, you agree to provide accurate, up-to-date and complete information. Clearly false information may lead to the suspension of the account.
Credentials and security
You alone are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential (password, Apple or Google sign-in, etc.) and for any activity carried out from your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, you must change your password immediately and inform the publisher at ascend.webapp@gmail.com.
Deleting your account
You can request the deletion of your account at any time from the Application settings, from the public page Delete your ASCEND account or by email at ascend.webapp@gmail.com. Deletion permanently erases your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations (in particular accounting and tax obligations).
Suspension
The publisher reserves the right to suspend or close an account in the event of a clear breach of these Terms, without prejudice to any other remedy.
Subscription and payment
Full access to the Application's features requires a paid subscription. Several plans are available; their features, content and current prices can be found:
- On the subscription screen inside the Application, shown before any purchase
- On the ASCEND product page of the App Store (Apple) or the Google Play Store (Google)
Prices are shown in your local currency by Apple or Google, including any taxes applicable in your country. The publisher does not charge VAT, in accordance with Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code (VAT exemption scheme for micro-entrepreneurs).
Before subscribing, you are shown the applicable price, the commitment period (monthly or yearly) and the renewal terms, and you expressly confirm your order.
Payment methods
Payments are processed exclusively by the distribution platforms:
- On iOS: through Apple In-App Purchase, managed by Apple Inc. under the App Store terms
- On Android: through Google Play Billing, managed by Google LLC under the Google Play Store terms
The publisher does not collect, store or process any of your bank or card details. Payment, refund and billing dispute terms are governed by Apple's or Google's terms, depending on your platform.
Price changes
The publisher reserves the right to change subscription prices. Any change will be notified at least 30 days in advance by email or by notification in the Application. You will be able to cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.
Free trial and renewal
Free trial
A free trial of 7 days may be offered on your first subscription to the ASCEND plan. This trial is offered at the publisher's discretion and may be changed or withdrawn at any time for new users.
At the end of the trial, unless you cancel before it ends, the subscription automatically becomes a paid subscription billed at the current price.
Automatic renewal
The subscription is concluded for an indefinite period and renews automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly, as chosen) until it is cancelled under the conditions set out in Article 9.
Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article L. 221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the supply of digital content not delivered on a physical medium, whose performance has begun with the consumer's express prior consent and express waiver of the right of withdrawal.
By subscribing and immediately accessing the Application's features, you:
- Expressly request immediate access to the Application's content and services
- Acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal as soon as access to the content begins
Regardless of the right of withdrawal, you may cancel your subscription at any time under the conditions set out in Article 9.
Cancellation
By you
You can cancel your subscription at any time, free of charge and without giving a reason, directly from your account on the platform you subscribed through:
- On iOS: iPhone Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions → ASCEND → Cancel Subscription
- On Android: Google Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → ASCEND → Cancel subscription
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current subscription period. No refund is due for a period that has started, except as provided by Apple's or Google's terms.

The publisher may terminate your subscription and close your account, after a formal notice that has gone unanswered, in the event of:
- A serious or repeated breach of these Terms
- Fraudulent or clearly unlawful behaviour
- Any attempt to undermine the security, integrity or operation of the Application
